Since Daryl is a smart-ass redneck, there are a few things that are going to be as standard. And I would like to know if your characters are okay with certain aspects.
Daryl is generally anti-social, but he's also been brought up to be a racist, sexist, homophobic. While he's not as bad as his brother, who brought him up that way, I would like to know if you have problems, either ICly or OOCly, with racial and sexist slurs.
These slurs will be few and far between, but they will likely happen at some point, and will more than likely be of the racial and homophobic variety than the sexist.
He's usually pretty good around kids, keeping his swearing and tounge in check, but there may be occasions where such terms slip out.
So! Fill out the below, and let me know.

While I will try to keep him as IC as possible, I also don't want to dissuade people from tagging him because of his actions. I also would not like to insult anyone OOCly, as my views do not match that of my muse.

Basically, it's all good so long as it's IC. Their reactions will be varying degrees of indignant/pissed off, of course, but conflict is fun.

Maladict comes from a country where she's treated inferior for being a woman, an issue she never comes across in Para. She'll probably act aggressively toward him, but if you're cool with that, it would be interesting to stoke those fires in her again.

He won't understand Daryl's issues at all, and probably resolve to teach him all the lessons about LOVE AND TOLERANCE.

I don't mind. Allen is pansexual but would never ever label himself (since he comes from the time where getting the label means jailtime). He will probably tell him to shove it.
Zelos is straight, but acts in ways that many would perceive as "gay" (wears pink, long hair, calls everyone pet names, etc) so I'll throw him on there too. Any remarks will leave him confused because Tethe'alla seems to be in a Renaissance-time era and there wasn't such a thing as a "homosexual personality" going on.

I don't mind. Zelos, once he figures out Earth discrimination systems, will mind. He'll be more understanding about it because he really gets the whole hard to shake your upbringing thing (he was raised to be racist against half-elves), but definitely be like NO BAD. /SWATS WITH NEWSPAPER

Allen looks 15/16 but he's actually 21 thanks to Paradisa no aging- so no worries there. But if Daryl wants to think he's a kid, go on right ahead because eeeeveryone does.

I would OOCly have problems with excessive use of it. I figure it's IC for Daryl so don't use it too much or too deep with CR with me. :)

Date: 2012-03-11 05:44 pm (UTC)Go ahead. It will go over Jet's head, most likely, and Nudge will be shocked, and yell at him. It's liable to make Nudge cry if he goes far enough, but you mentioned that he's normally okay around kids, so I don't think this will be an issue.

Go ahead. Gotta say: depending on how obnoxious he is, the Midnighter is liable to break both his legs just to prove a point. Dumbledore is used to homophobia, but it obviously won't make him feel any friendlier towards him.

By all means, if this is IC for your character (which... I don't know, but I'm trusting you on this xD), have at the fact that Phoenix is half-Japanese and also Jewish. Just don't expect him to like it. Pfft.

Here's a bit tricky; Phoenix hasn't really figured himself out yet in this regard, so for your OOC knowledge, he's definitely bisexual, but ICly he's not to the point of knowing that yet, so it won't really come up for a while. That said, his ambiguous relationship with Edgeworth is full of shiny subtext, so feel free to take any of Phoenix's part in that and roll with it.

Date: 2012-03-11 06:52 pm (UTC)Of particular note, however, is the fact that Huey's a wheelchair-bound wuss, who will take whatever punishment Daryl dishes out without fighting back whatsoever.
Jon Snow, on the other hand, is somewhat sensitive about his status as a bastard, and will take offense to the word if it is directed at him. Given that he usually has a sword strapped to his back, and an albino wolf that's the size of a pony at his side, I wouldn't recommend it, for Daryl's safety XD

Durge is my straight man, but he's from a world where they don't tend to be very discriminatory about those kinds of things, and will definitely take issue if he's being intentionally hateful towards someone. I don't mind if he hears them (and again, he may not realize they're slurs), but fair warning that he might smack Daryl one if he catches on.

I don't have a huge issue with it, but I'd appreciate maybe keeping some of the stronger slurs to a minimum in my presence

Date: 2012-03-13 02:29 pm (UTC)Kallen's half Japanese with... red hair. She can pass as a non-Japanese girl in her series, so it's not exactly noticeable, but if you think he'd be able, go right ahead. Daine's just a generic brunette, so nothing special there.

If the slurs are used regarding other people in any of my characters presences (which includes Sam -
OOCly, I'm fine with it because it's IC behavior for Daryl, just be aware that my characters will react accordingly. =D
And none of mine are under the age of eighteen, so ... I think that covers everything.

Italy may not be a confirmed homosexual, but his actions can be considered one. He is going to be oblivious of this. There might be times he would deny this for the fact that Hitler hates homosexuals in WW2. Though this contrasts that he was raised in Rome where sex has no limits on gender. I still don't mind slurs so far about this to Italy.

It is good and no problems for it being IC. Italy might even bring the stereotypes true himself if that is even helpful. With world as stereotypes in his canon, Italy can agree with him. Reactions may vary to how one or the other say about certain races. Being the personification of one and living with other beings like him could prove a challenge to how the world does with stereotypes, true or not.

Date: 2012-05-04 03:52 pm (UTC)I have no problem with it! Derek might get a little pissed about it though, just cause he's like that. lol But eventually he'd get that that's just how Daryl is. Also, I'm a little biased since Daryl is my favorite character on The Walking Dead. :)

If your character is female, do you mind sexist comments made about your characters? George can probably turn into a woman, so, this is also okay to do.
If your character is any of the above, do you mind racial/sexist/homophobic comments made about you to other characters? Nope.
If your character is neither of the above, do you mind racial/sexist/homophobic comments said in your character's presence? Again, nope.
